Supporting the launch of 0-1 Mom Founders
A new community group created for mothers navigating both founder life and motherhood.
One of our founders was deep into an incubator programme, building her very first product, when she found out she was going to be a mum. Two very different journeys, happening at once. And no map for either. There's no Slack channel for that. No cohort session on it. No one in the room who's done both together and can tell you what actually happens next. So she became that person for everyone else.

Founders started coming to her
Not with questions about building a company, though. But with a lot of questions about: How is it going? Can you keep doing the program? What about maternity payments? What are the actual rules? Founders who were thinking about having kids while building, right now, found their way to her, because she was the only one who understood the question.
Around the same time, another founder from our community reached out. She'd raised a significant VC round, had a baby, and was suddenly running two full-time builds at once: a company and a newborn. She was looking for other women going through exactly this, at exactly the same time, because there was nowhere to find them
Hearing it from women living it in real time, we did what we always do first: we listened.
Going from 0 to 1 with a company is hard enough
Going from 0 to 1 as a parent, at the same time, is a different kind of hard, and almost nobody is talking about doing both together. So we sat down, over coffee, with the founders living this right now, to figure out how we could support them. And out of that conversation, 0-1 mom founders was born, a community group for women at every stage of doing both.
Why don't the existing mom groups fit?
Most mom groups are built for women on full leave from a 9-5 job, a return date on the calendar, a job that isn't waiting on them personally. That's a real experience. It's just not this one.
Founders don't get the pause fully. You're often still the person your team and investors depend on, while learning to function on newborn sleep. That's a specific kind of juggle, and it needs a room full of people who've actually lived it - not just sympathized from the sidelines.
So that's what we decided to support
A small group that meets regularly, sometimes working side by side with kids in the room, sometimes without, always with founders going through the exact same thing at the exact same time. Sharing what works, what doesn't, how it actually feels some days. Having a bunch of women behind you who understand, with no explaining needed.
If you're planning, pregnant, or in that first wild year of doing both, you're not the first founder to feel like no one around you gets it. And now, there's a room full of women who do.
DM or email us directly at hello@evenfounders.com, and we'll get you the details!:)
